Without my lovely teddies as a stepping stone, my miniature brides would perhaps never have been thought of. It wasn’t such a huge step moving from 24in bears to 6in miniature dolls than if I’d made the transition from a real bride to a 6in doll. So they deserve a special place of their very own here in the cottage. I will be launching a spectacular teddy bride on this page at some point in 2008. This bear was originally planned for 2007 but just couldn’t fit it in to a grueling timetable which included two real weddings to cope with as well as an increasing line of new and exciting products.

Hopefully they may inspire you to begin or extend your own bridal creations or you may just decide to add one to your special collection if you are a true arctophile. This is the name for a collector of teddy bears for those of you new to this wonderful hobby.


	Pictured ‘Kathryn Russell Studio’ : Beautiful designer couture for real brides. Kathryn designed and made the beautiful items below for my Venetian Splendour 24in One of a kind Bridal Bear.

The two one off bridal bears in progress at this moment in time are Cappuccino Gold: an 18in warm pale gold curly mohair bear dressed in oyster and gold silks with pearl headdress, pearl trimmed veil and bouquet and Venetian Splendour: a 24in long wavy haired honey bear dressed in honey silk. She carries in her hand a beautiful Venetian bridal mask with matching crown and necklace (pictured above) all made especially for her by Kathryn Russell a prestigious and very talented ‘real’ Bridal designer up here in the North of England who trained in the beautiful city of Venice. This beautiful one off bear wears a magnificent Cinderella fairytale gown trimmed with hand tooled silk flowers and honey embroidered butterfly lace with golden threads. She also wears a tiered honey tulle veil. How on earth am I ever going to part with her.
